Overview

This project explores how VR glasses can transform tourism by providing real time, interactive navigation. Instead of relying on guides or maps, users can seamlessly find their way using augmented overlays, enhancing their experience with intuitive visual cues.

Challenge

Tourists often struggle with navigation in unfamiliar places, relying on guides or static maps. The challenge was to design an immersive solution that integrates AR technology into VR glasses, making self guided exploration more engaging and accessible.

Results

I researched existing platforms like iOS Measure, Snapchat filters, and Wanna Kicks to understand their technology and potential applications. After developing concepts, I tested visual prototypes using a VR headset. To illustrate the final concept, I used After Effects and Premiere Pro, creating a compelling demonstration of how the system would work. The results met expectations, showing a promising direction for AR enhanced tourism, and I plan to explore this idea further in the future.

I love how I can navigate independently without any assistance
